Another Shop Error, but finally the bike is on the road!

Ok, well after dropping it off at another local shop, since my main shop couldnt get to my bike and i ran out of time working on it, i tried to ride it today. Turns out they installed the chain wrong and installed it outside the little stops around the der. pulleys. Also, the rear brake was closed shut and off center, and the bill was atleast $40 more than they told me it would be. Its really ashame cause i like the idea of this new shop and what they are trying to accomplish, but the work and fees on my bike are unexceptable.
Also, i found out one of my new wheels must have a 9 sp freehub on it cause my cassete wouldnt fit, so its a frankenstein bike with a red carbon front wheel and my ksyrium sl on the back. Ill have to get a new cassette one of these days so i can use the rear wheel.
Went out for a 100 mile ride today with Randall, Tim, Tim(hub team), Sean(hub team), and Jonas. After trying to get my bike to work, i finally bailed on the ride and went home. The darn chain wouldnt stop skipping. So i got home, took it apart, flipped all the gears around, and BAM, it worked!! so i got back on my bike, and took the route backwards, hammering all the way out to Somerset Wisconsin, to meet the others on the return trip. I thought there was no way that I'd get it the same amount of miles as them ,but sure enough when i met them i had the same miles, and this is after coming home, and screwing with my bike for a long time. Turns out they had a couple of stops and i must have just MOVED to get out there. All in all, i got 100 miles and am very happy with that. Overall the bike is fit pretty well, few thigns here and there to get it completly dialed in, but those things take time. Ill have to post some pics once i get it put together all the way.

1 PART DOWN, MANY TO GO

Well, the bottom cups in the bb area are in and the crank are on the new bike....i still cant believe im going to be seen on a Trek but a good deal is a good deal and it sure will be a nice bike if its ever finished!

What drove me to this point?

Well, after another great experience with a local bike shop I've decided to start a blog about bike shops, bikes, crappy customer service, and so on. Hope you enjoy or atleast get some entertainment out of my rants....Thanks for reading!
